Mopomoso presents our end of year Christmas Party
Every year Mopomoso hosts a variety of musicians from across the free improvised music scene to come and play in a series of five to ten minute cameo sets. It is a wonderful way to catch up with old favourites and to check out new players in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. As well as the music there will be refreshments and a raffle. You too are welcome to bring some food to share.
Let’s celebrate another good year of making great music together.
Of course there will be some silly stuff as well!
Here’s Steve Beresford, Kay Grant, John Russell and Roger Turner playing toy laptops at our party in 2007
Welcome to 2020. This is the 30th year of Mopomoso’s existence so firstly a big thanks all round to everybody who has ever helped along the journey. Freely improvised music is fairly simple. Whether musician or audience member we all bring our ears along and listen. Any creativity is a shared experience and, uniquely to its improvised nature, relies on the direct experience of the moment. Come along and savour those moments and thank you once again for your continuing support.
A short film by Oliver Weindling (some filmed at The Vortex) about a man who was a great supporter of Mopomoso over the years. Check out John Jack and a big thanks for his very real support and understanding of the music. xx
Mopomoso tour CD #MakingRooms is the excellent first release for new label #weekertoft. Full details on the Noticeboard, or get your copy now from the Weekertoft website.
The Mopomoso 25th anniversary T-shirt is now sold out. Hopefully we will have more 'merch' soon.
